WHAT ARE CREATIVE INDUSTRIES?

These are industries that utilize CREATIVITY as the main resource: Cultural Tourism, Crafts, Fashion, Industrial Design (Furniture, etc.), Multimedia (Music, Movies, Animation), Computer Programs Design, Architecture and others.

In many countries, creative industries are the new growth areas of the economy, and are starting to account for greater portions of GDP.

What makes creative industries unique is the fact that they generally require little raw material input (as opposed to, say, manufacturing) or capital infusion (as opposed to tourism service industries). Furthermore, all communities have resources for creative industries.
